December 2011 - January 2012 Competition Winners

December/January Poem Competition Winner:

A New Year's bumper hamper goes to Vicki Coats, from New Zealand - Congratulations!

Vicki said: "Wow! I received the hamper today, thank you so much, it's amazing!
I don't want to have to go back to work now, just want to look at all my goodies!
Thank you again, it's fab!"

Vicki's winning poem...
" On Christmas Day, there's just two of us,
With no children around no need for a fuss,
Just another day, no pressies, no tree,
This day doesn't promise too much to me,

A big brekkie is a good way to start,
Some Easiyo yogurt good for you heart,
Pack up some stuff and off to the beach,
There's many good ones within easy reach,

Lee Bay is where we all go,
Hidden away we all lie low,
The BBQ cranking, everyone with a plate,
Easiyo Blue cheese dip I think I'll make,

A couple of beers and some party games,
The original crew and a few new names,
Then back to the bay when we've had enough,
(A couple to bed cos they feel a bit rough)

But for us we're off to run the quiz night,
Nothing too taxing, no-ones feeling TOO bright!
A charity collection and a shared dinner,
Then it's time to announce the winner,

Home now to sit down and I think,
What a great day and I feel in the pink,
THIS is what Christmas is about,
Sharing our day with a very special crowd,

People you see all year but don't appreciate,
But I can honestly say I'm glad to call them mates,
So without maxing out my credit card and stressing,
A beautiful day was had by all, what a blessing! "
