That the exact origin of yogurt is uncertain, but legend has it that the Biblical patriarch Abraham offered yogurt to the angels when they told him of the birth of his son Isaac.

We live 16km from Otorohanga – farmers. Shaun (son), Kelley and their 3 children live in our farm cottage and he is an owner/driver truckie. John has been a farmer all his life and did shearing to get enough money to buy his own farm. I am a registered nurse and work in Waikeria prison – 850 male inmates and 60 women inmates. You might say “crime pays” – it pays me anyway! John and I share 5 adult children and 15½ grand-children. I lost a beautiful 14 year old son on the road in 1991.
We eat Easiyo for desert every single night – both addicted. Shaun (with the broken arms) is an owner/driver truckie. He hopes to buy some land off us and build a mansion some day.
Working as a nurse in a prison is pretty challenging but I really enjoy it. There are 14 nurses in our team and the most important thing to have is a lively sense of humour! We administer to over 900 inmates – 70 of them women! And yes, they do get yogurt to eat – but only when they’re on a soft diet (if they have a broken jaw …..common injury!......or are having dental work, throat surgery etc.).
Kids feeding Shaun (son) who broke both his arms on his trail bike and his daughters had to feed him (Easiyo of course).

I went on a holiday recently to NZ and stayed 2 nights at a B&B where the lady gave us fruit and yogurt for breakfast. It was so nice I asked her the brand so I could have some more while I was over there. She told me she made it herself and told me of your Easiyo yogurt maker, so I went and bought one and heaps of packets to bring back here to Australia as I did not think you could buy them here.

I rang the factory here and they told me all the supermarkets and Big W sell your product. Since coming home I have told so many people about it and given them samples of mine that 9 have bought one and 1 of them have also bought the ice cream. I think there should be a little more advertising about this product as it’s the greatest thing I’ve had in years. I would never buy factory made yogurt again.

I am flying to Bundaberg to visit my mother for Mothers Day and one guess what is going with me – my yogurt maker so Mum can try it because she will be the next to buy one. I tell everyone I see I think it is so great and the taste is beautiful. I still have a few more flavours to try but rest assured I’ll be trying the lot. Thanks for a great product and please advertise more as it’s worth it.

I took it to Bundaberg as I said in my last letter and made Greek and Mango for my Mother, she loved it also.

I cannot eat my yogurt in peace as my Border Collie loves it. The vet said it was fine for him to eat it. He eats all human food not dog food (except for dog biscuits) so guess what his desert is Banana and yogurt.

By the way my friend was making her yogurt and putting it in the fridge overnight. NO wonder it didn’t set! I laughed when she told me she put boiling water in the container then put it in the fridge. Needless to say all is a success with her now and I gave her a copy of your letter on what to do. Thanks for a great product I’m so glad I went to NZ for a holiday or I would never have learnt about it, neither would all the ones I’ve introduced to it, they love it also.

I too have an Easiyo story. Working as a checkout operator about six years ago, a customer came through my lane with a very large amount of Easiyo packets. Curiosity got the better of me; they were going to Africa as missionaries and taking their Easiyo with them as it was so convenient where electricity was a problem.

Since then I have been using Easiyo, my husband and I both enjoy it. We like to add a bit of honey to ours. I have also started friends and others using it. As we have traveled around Australia quite a bit as campers and food is usually mentioned at some stage, Easiyo is always my tip. I might add that it’s just about every day we eat our Easiyo!

Having done a bit of traveling here and overseas, including New Zealand, our favourite mode of exploration is on foot.
I have given some ideas of places we love locally. Locally being for us is between Brisbane and Sydney. Sydney taken from our hotel window, wonderful walking. The Blue Mountains, my Dad lives on the Central Coast and we love it too.

Brian is our breakfast cook and it always start with Easiyo at home or at Brunswick Heads in our cabin. I use your Greek style Easiyo for a soft cheese and also as a starter for crème fraiche.

Not being fussed on low fat ice cream, I took a while before making your Easiyo one and we are now converts. It certainly doesn’t taste low fat.

Finishing off with our favourite place, it is our home town Brisbane and we regularly catch the train to Fortituck Valley, walk over the Story Bridge to South Bank. Every weekend there are markets – a lively crowd. Lots of eating places which we occasionally frequent but the best is on the little jetty (of which there are a few) with our own picnic, watching the City Kats and ferries and the Kookaburra Queens drifting by. It is a lovely way to spend a Sunday.
p.s. we are off soon for the Melbourne Cup then over to Tasmania for a driving and walking holiday. Another little bit of information, this weekend I started my sister-in-law on Easiyo!
